The most important things I have found is. first, is the person professional, do I feel safe alone in my house with this person. I am fairly lucky in this since yes I am male and that can be a issue for some clients. However I am very non threatening, I do find myself just out in public. People will approach me to help them find a store or ask for a hand. I'm proud of that even though its really just me being myself.
I have filled my website and social media with tons and tons of videos on me talking about topics and different conditions, how I address them. This helps me with people being confident I know what I'm talking about but they also see some of my personality and my passion for the industry.
