I get this question all the time. What is cheaper, Mobile massage vs clinical massage cost in a clinic or day spa. There is a few factors at play to Answer this question.
Rent vs Travel. So owning a clinic is expensive, there is bills for insurance, electricity, rent. All these must be a factor when deciding what you charge for a massage. Travel only has petrol, time traveling, car services and prep time. This can be a more personal choice. but I feel Mobile wins this one.
Staff. If you are requesting the services from a sole provider. There's no cut the owner needs to take to pay for rent. It all goes to the mobile massage therapist. So when it comes to mobile vs clinic. Mobile win this one.
Comfort. What is more comfortable to you. not leaving your house and getting a massage in your own house where you can create a space with your own music and lighting. Well that can be great if you have the space. If your house is a bad fit for a massage and the space is a important factor for you. Clinical might win this one. If you don't worry about it at all and you only care about fixing the muscular issue you have then mobile wins.
Length.
For remedial2you, The longer the treatment, the cheaper it becomes per hour. This is due to no need to travel to somewhere else so I transfer the savings to the client. 2 hour massages are my most popular choice. 1 hour per person or 2 hours for a single person.
All in all I feel mobile is cheaper specially for me being a one person business with minimal overheads but it is up to you to do your research and compare. This is only about costs and not including factors like therapist experience and skill which makes the question more complicated.
