Deep tissue massage is a silly name that we use but its basically just another word for remedial massage. Its the same as soft tissue massage. Soft tissue is muscle tissue. It doesn't mean that deep tissue massage is harder then soft tissue massage. Deep tissue is not really a thing. Over the years people have just developed a confusion over the subject but we now say deep tissue because we might be worried people might think we do gentle light massage only if we use the word "soft"
Think about it, when someone is injured in a accident they say there is soft tissue damage to the victim. They don't say "the victim has deep tissue damage" Anyway, I enough about this detail. I'll use the word "deep" for simplicity.
